Mitchell C Beer, CLU, ChFC, CFP®
"It's my duty to provide leadership, vision and direction. I achieve this through coaching, guiding and mentoring representatives, specialists and management teams. Collaboration is essential; I want to create a culture which will ensure the skills we need to be successful. The potential for this territory is great. If we work together, there's almost no limit to what we will achieve." Mitchell Beer began his career with Northwestern Mutual more than 16 years ago as a freshly minted Trenton State College (now College of New Jersey) graduate. "I was really attracted to all the things a career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network could offer me. I liked the independence of running my own practice and knowing that my career would be helping people." Professional Accomplishments He was appointed managing director of a district network office in 1998. His district network office, which he opened from scratch, now employs 17 full-time representatives and produced $900,000 in premium his last year as managing director. Through his financial representative career, Mitchell Beer earned nine National Quality Awards, qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table six times, won the Network's Growth Award five times and took home three Network OARS awards. Mitchell credits all of those 16 years of success as helping prepare him for his managing partner role. “It's been a cumulative effect,” he says. “I'm always learning and discovering new things. It's one of the things I love about my career.” Mitchell's six years as managing director stand out as an experience that put the final polish on his career and prepared him for the managing partner position. "That time prepared me really well for my new position,” says Mitchell. “It added the final touches of experience and insight. I've now dealt with everything from compliance issues, to setting up office space, to personal production, and feel that I'm ready to meet this new opportunity head on." Commitment to Family and Community Mitchell founded the BFG Golf Invitational which raises money for autistic children. Over five years the invitational raised over $60,000. The Network Office has been active since 1971. District Network Office
