Community Involvement

 

As our mission statement proudly states, we are all here to impact the lives of others, and Mitchell and Carolyn Beer do just that!  The desire to put a smile on a kids face is what drives them to volunteer their time at a bereavement camp for children.  The loss of a loved one can be detrimental to a child’s development, and Comfort Zone Camp was created to help rebuild the confidence and support they need to recover!  Comfort Zone Camp is the nation’s largest bereavement camp and offers these children the opportunity to remember their loved ones in a safe and healing camp environment.  Comfort Zone Camps create an environment where grieving children can have fun and break the isolation death often brings, while learning valuable coping skills for their daily lives.  Below is a picture of our Managing Partner, Mitchell Beer and children from Comfort Zone Camp.

 Right to Dream is a charity in Ghana and the US with a vision 'to offer underprivileged children who are drawn from a background of extreme poverty, the opportunity to reach their true potential in life through sport and education and ensure that these children are motivated and empowered to make meaningful, lifelong contributions to their community and country'.  Below is a picture of our Director of Campus Selection, Danielle Camarena with her mother and 6 of the boys that have come over from Ghana to continue their education, and excel in soccer.  Nicole Camarena, the Directorof Development for The Beer Financial Group also plays a significant role in the Right to Dream Charity.

Founded in 1976, The Coalition to End Family Violence has been committed to helping survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Ventura County by providing direct services to victims; educating the community regarding violence against women, children and men; and to end the cycle of violence.

Our goal in providing this website is to inform you of the many services The Coalition offers those who may be suffering themselves, or know someone who may be suffering in silence from domestic violence or sexual assault.  We can significantly increase our impact with the continued support of the community making it possible to expand our existing programs and adding additional services.
